The Osorno Automation Team designs customized SCADA systems, using hardware components that can be programmed following the “Open Source” philosophy, to avoid vendor lock-in. We use a “hardened” Debian GNU/Linux operating system with its inherent high security, and a Process View Browser, a well-established Open Source process visualization system. The Osorno Automation Team is proud to have developed a significantly enhanced software package for Process View Browser that will be released to the Open Source community in due time.
Our SCADA systems support reliable alarms delivery locally and remotely by e-mail or SMS. Our SCADA has cross-platform capability and acts as a server, so that users can access the system either locally or remotely, independent of the operation system of the remote computer. Osorno’s SCADA systems have an outstanding security level, with encrypted data transfer, hierarchical user privileges, highly detailed logs, and remote secure connections. We provide unprecedented electronic security in water and wastewater treatment plants.
